About Sonia Junttila

I’m a communications professional with broad experience in strategic content creation, digital media, and leading communication projects. Currently, I do communications for the Finnish Union for Practical Nurses where I’m responsible for planning, producing, and developing content across social media and digital channels. My background also includes running my own creative agency and working as a media producer for the City of Helsinki’s Youth Department. I’m a collaborative and solutions-oriented communicator who thrives on interaction. I’ve led working groups, supported subject matter experts in their communications, and delivered projects from concept to completion. My key strengths include strong interpersonal skills, a clear communication style, visual storytelling, and the ability to see communication as part of a broader strategic and societal context. I’m particularly motivated by socially impactful communication that fosters trust, participation, and long-term sustainability – areas I’m committed to exploring more deeply going forward.
