About Sonia M.

No matter how many twists and turns my career takes, one thing I can say with certainty is I've always loved my job. I've had a passion for good food since I was a toddler standing on a step stool making pancakes with my dad on Sunday. Hoping I would one day start a business, I studied Innovation & Entrepreneurship which opened my mind to a world of possibilities. I gained invaluable experience at a variety of internships and jobs, and I'm lucky that they all dealt with a different aspect of the food and hospitality business. Each one taught me new hard and soft skills, and deepened my passion for the food industry.Ultimately, I did start a business of my own and made a personal dream of mine come true. I became an expert in taking a product from an idea or sketch to a real item that could be seamlessly purchased online, expertly made and packaged, and quickly shipped out. I managed projects, people, and processes. I've experienced the ups and downs, and everything in between that comes with owning and operating your own business, including the fear of the unknown. I'm currently working on certifications in Product Management and Digital Marketing with the hopes that they will prepare me even better for my next position. I'll never stop baking, in fact, I'm probably in the kitchen covered in flour and chocolate as you read this. I'm at a time in my life where I'm looking for more stability (i.e. less unknown) and continued learning, which is why I'm seeking a new position that will allow me to utilize the skills I've learned and enhance them even further. My ideal role would be in Product or Brand Management focusing on tangible goods.
