About Sonia Padmore

After ten years in education, working in speech and language therapy in SEN schools across various schools in London, specialising in AAC, I moved over to working within the Technology industry. My main role working as a Assistant Technology Support Specialist, I Provide support, on our software and hardware, for our users by phone, email, online chat, Facebook and remote access. I offer advice and guidance on how to get the best out of our hardware and software I also assist with solving problems caused by Microsoft Windows or system configurations I train users and professionals on our software and hardware, providing sessions to assist them with setting up their new devices, and giving them the opportunity to explore the software so they can use it to the best ability. This includes using addition access methods, like eye-gaze and switches so our devices can be used by a wider variety of non-verbal users. I am familiar with using our CRM system to log issues and liaise with our software developers to resolve users’ issues. I also support our Assistive Technology Team as required as our team is nationwide and customer facing with NHS Hubs, direct users, schools and speech and language therapists, it is important I communicate and assist in anyway I can.
