About Sonia Panek

I am an open minded person with a very positive attitude and not afraid of any changes or challenges. My professional career started as a Process Executive in a BPO Company within Sourcing & Procurement department, where I spent over 6 years taking care of shopping cart creation (SRM), PR-PO conversion (SAP), PO confirmation, overdue delivery resolving and handling of mismatched invoices. Later on I became a Process Specialist and Deputy Team Leader taking care of e.g. SLAs and efficiency reporting. Then I was appointed to an assignment at client location to support roll out of a new savings reporting tool for Procurement (Procurement Measure Tracking) taking care of UATs, work instructions preparation and user trainings. After finished assignment I joined the subcontractor project team, where I maintained a global supplier database. After considerable time spent in Procurement I decided to see how the processes looks like from the other side, so I moved to Sales & Fulfillment Department, where I migrated the whole Sales Order Management process from client location (Belgium). For next couple of months I put aside Procurement and broaden my knowledge in Risk & Quality (ISO). Shortly after I realized that Procurement is exactly what I am keen on, so I joined a pharmaceutical company to a newly created project core team responsible for global Ariba Buying implementation. This journey took almost 3 years during which I designed, created and implemented Ariba Guided Buying tool in 40 countries. Today I am a Buying Channel Consultant, where I can use my knowledge and experience gathered within Procurement during all these years.
