About Sonja Bottern

In recent years I have had to face a couple of challenging situations. The pain and hurt this caused many good people resided deeply within me because they were totally avoidable. This has spurred me into a commitment to reducing stigma around mental illness and supporting businesses to create healthy, safe spaces. With my own lived experience I understand and acknowledge that individuals and groups are living through difficult times, experiencing anxiety, depression, COVID-related impacts, suicidal ideation, interpersonal relationship issues and impacts from trauma. Bottern Consulting have a range of accredited training options available, both remotely and face-to-face, and these include Youth Mental Health First Aid, Standard Mental Health First Aid, Non-Suicidal-Self-Injury (Self-Harming), safeTALK and ASIST (both suicide prevention trainings). I provide a tailored and personal approach to assessing and supporting workplace mental wellness.
