About Sonoko Hatano

It has been nearly 30 years since I began to research. The fields that I have specialzed in are mainly nutrition, cancer, cardiovascular and dermal development in cells, animals and humans. I gave births and have raised my children. As being a researcher and mother, raising children let me notice some basic issues that human beings face to grow and live. In developed countries, we have many and variety of food, however a lot of people are not healthy. Some diseases such as cancer, obesity and development disorder, do not decrease even though the current medicine is progressive, which is, I believe, because of Processed Food including Fast Food and Junk Food. They could be industrial goods rather than food that human can eat. With having an interest in today’s food culture, in 2010, I got the license of medical cooking based on traditional Chinese medicine in order to study our ancestor’s wisdom and integrate it with modern science. I have given lectures in locals but I would like to expand it to let people know. I am now trying to find better ways to do so.
