About Sonya Capps

I have 8 years’ experience in conducting clinical trials and invaluable knowledge in all aspects of clinical research from submissions of grants thru SPS, Internal Review Board protocol submission, amendments, and renewals of grants, writing consent forms, gathering and compiling clinical research data according to GCP & IHC guidelines, subject recruitment/screening, creating recruitment brochures and flyers, data collection/entry, preparing blood samples for analytical test and keeping abreast of new developments through scientific journals to aid in planning of new studies just to name a few. I have significant interpersonal skills, am detail oriented, a team player, learn new task quickly, am flexible and adapt to changes without haste. I have extensive experience working in a medical school environment both at UNC CH and Duke, interacting with patients, physicians and administration. I have the ability to see beyond my own duties and responsibilities to form the bigger picture and there for I am an outstanding asset to most any organization when working to meet the goals outlined by management.
