My 23 years of experience in visitor services in the cultural & tourism sectors has been underpinned by a workinglife focused on creative connections and community participation in areas such as early childhood & disabilityservices, radio production, hospitality, music, retail and event management. As a Visitor Engagement Manager, I have worked in recruiting and training a diverse passionate front of houseteam who authentically connect with our visitors by sharing the stories of Victoria's rich migration heritage andvibrant contemporary communities held within our exhibitions. Our mission - to connect to our visitors and each other through recognition of our shared humanity is a dailyexperience which I am privileged to participate in. My expertise lies in respectful and responsive engagement with visitors, staff and stakeholders through tours, talksand conversation. In gatherings I focus on uplifting participants so that they feel included and confident in theirunique contributions. Career highlights have been as a developer and presenter in training programs for new and established staff across the whole of our organisation, working as the Visitor Engagement leader at community festivals with visitors numbering from the hundreds into the thousands,
