About Sopheaktra Chhim

I'm a driven and passionate fire engineer and fire & life safety consultant. My goal is to save lives and properties from fires.At WSP in the Middle East from 2016-2022 (Dubai and Doha), my expertise encompasses mostly prescriptive fire strategy, performance-based fire strategy including computer fire and evacuation modelling, fire risk assessment, fire protection and detection systems assessment. I provide consulting services based on fire and building codes and standards to several types of construction projects in the region as well as around the world ranging from small to mega projects such as educational; residential; commercial; masterplan; entertainment complex including stadium, mall and snow park; tunnel; and luxury island developments.Now based at the Sydney office of WSP Australia, I expand my technical depth and breadth by providing purely performance-based engineering solutions for various projects all over Australia and the surrounding region.I've also pioneered and led the development of a set of automated fire safety tools that will digitize and automate our way of working in BIM as a side passion project.Hit me up - I'm happy to discuss about my career or catch up with people I've crossed path before.
