About Sophia Barcza

Currently seeking roles in data analytics and data science with interest in entertainment and travel industries. I am interested in working in data analytics because I am passionate about the potential of data to drive meaningful insights and informed decision-making. I worked as a Resident Assistant at the University of South Florida where I studied Mathematics with a concentration in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. Through my education I have completed advanced courses in linear algebra, probability theory, and mathematical statistics. I have learned skills in statistical analysis using tools like R and Python, and have become proficient in using tools such as Excel and Tableau for data visualization. I am excited to apply these skills to real world problems and I am open to working in a variety of different industries. Through my work as being an RA I have provided emotional and academic support to a diverse community of residents. I've organized and executed community-building events, fostering a sense of belonging and community, as well as mediated conflicts between residents, resulting in disputes being resolved amicably. I am eager to start working in data analytics and I am open to any new opportunities.
