About Sophia Mitchell

I am currently a fourth-year student attending The University of Tennessee, completing my Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sport Management – Sports Management Major in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, with a Business Administration minor and an Advertising and Public Relations minor. I have always been drawn to sports since I can remember. I am a strong communicator and have a wide array of communication skills, such as interpersonal skills, customer service, multitasking, event planning, public speaking, sales, a strong work ethic, and experience collaborating and working with diverse groups of people. My skills have been adapted from experiences in both past and current experiences, such as a sales associate, a hostess, and a campaign leader; which involved event planning, fundraising, media relations, teamwork, presenting to community leaders, and contributing to volunteer work within my community. I am eager to use my skills and previous experiences in a larger setting where I can be exposed to roles in the sports management field, sports marketing, media relations, and social media.
