About Sophie Hemingbrough

I am a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner currently working within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) where I provide structured psychological interventions within a 12 session framework. My role involves conducting comprehensive psychological formulations, developing safety plans, and assessing Recovery Quality of Life (ReQoL) measures to support individuals with complex mental health difficulties. I work with a diverse range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and psychosis. Prior to this, I gained two years of experience as a Mental Health Support Worker, working with adults facing mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and behavioral difficulties in both residential and community settings. I also have experience in dementia care, where I worked as a Welfare Assistant, focusing on cognitive stimulation and brain function maintenance for residents. Additionally, I volunteered for three years providing mental health support to incarcerated adult males, further enhancing my understanding of forensic mental health and rehabilitation. My diverse experience has strengthened my ability to deliver person-centered care, risk management, and therapeutic interventions in a range of mental health settings.
