About Sorcia Joyal

Hello, I’m Sorcia! Throughout my professional working years, I've gained a wide and diverse portfolio. I have been working professionally with Microsoft Excel since 2019, organizing data, creating spreadsheets, and updating employee information, as well as recent endeavours of data analysis in school research participation. Working with kids while teaching dance, as a volunteer, taught me a lot. Professional and effective communication not only with the kids but with their parents and the staff I was working under was a skill I picked up along the journey. As an indigenous person, and being a part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, I am empathetic of everyone's individuality, and often employers notice I work well with anyone and under any circumstance I am given. I will always work harder than I did the day before to continue proving my dedication and assiduity to the things I am passionate about. A goal I have set for my future employment opportunity is to develop more skills surrounding collaborative teamwork, as well as engage in work that holds high accountability to my position. Coming out of my undergrad, I hope to achieve my goals of obtaining a job that helps the community and furthers my exploration of the kinesiology scope of practice.
