About Sorena Sawyer

As a software engineer, I feel I've finally found the career path I'll be proud of and will allow me to provide for my family. In the past, I've had varying positions that weren't providing me the fulfillment or growth I was looking for. I made the choice to pursue software engineering after taking an intro to computer science and haven't looked back! I am now a collaborative software engineer/developer who jumps at the opportunity to strategically approach a problem to find solutions! The greatest pleasure I find in this field is the constant opportunities to learn new things! I also love the collaboration with others, as I'm a huge team player and want to see everyone succeed. When others approach me to help debug their code, I love the moment when we find those tiny details that are causing the issue. I would say I'm a tenacious person and also motivating! So, when it comes to a team, I won't let any challenges keep anyone down, but let it be the driving force to finding a solution. Outside of work, I still enjoy being on my computer to game with friends! Or I enjoy spending time with my daughter, discovering all of her new joys.
