About Sosun M.

I have a graduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Humber College and a BA Honours in Human Rights and Equity Studies from York University. I am currently a caseworker at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel York, where I provide overall coordination and supervision for the Go Girls! program, a group mentoring program that aims to foster cross-cultural understanding and diverse peer relationships among youth who identify as female. In my previous roles as a youth worker at Our Place Peel and a mental health support worker at Safe Staffing Agency, I gained valuable experience in supporting clients with mental and physical illnesses, facilitating programs for youth entering the shelter, leading and implementing client-driven care plans. I have strong skills in social media, research, and leadership, as well as multiple certifications and honors in the field of mental health and human rights. I am passionate about empowering and advocating for marginalized and vulnerable populations, and I strive to bring a holistic, compassionate, and inclusive approach to my work.
