About Soumi Dutt

I am Soumi Dutt (she/her). My love for stories pushed me to pursue a degree in Multimedia and Mass Communications which helped me portray the lives of everyday people in a digital setting. I wrote numerous articles following the daily lives of the girls at my college and published news stories in numerous digital publications. I wrote and filmed news packages, following the state of businesses during Covid-19 and participated in filmmaking events as a part of Simulacra, the filmmaking society. In the traditional world, I believed that advertising would guide customers to make the best decision for themselves. This pushed me to research and understand consumer behaviour, resulting in a published research paper, understanding Colour Symbolism in various cultural contexts and winning the Centenary Decade Research Grant for my work on recognizing the misinformation spread during the Spanish Flu. Post Covid, in the rapidly-growing digital world, I recognized how customers valued innovation and how the defining factor for companies to come up on top belonged to that of digital competition. I bridge the gap between businesses and customers by focussing on user's stories and incorporating innovation to help them achieve their goals. At Coditas, I strive to create delightful user experiences and deliver impact in a diverse range of domains.
