Hi, I am Sparsh, currently the Chief Retirement Specialist at Ortium Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. I have been lucky to be exposed to the world of investments right from my childhood days, thanks to my father who is a veteran of the Indian mutual fund industry. My father strongly believes that investing is a very important life skill and he was not only instrumental in getting me started but continues to be my mentor and guide.As a result, I started my investment journey at the age of 18 by creating and managing my own equity portfolio and have been managing my family's investments since the age of 22. I have completed a Bachelors degree in Management and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. While pursuing my masters degree, my thesis focussed on the subject of retirement. During the course of preparing my thesis, I realised that most Indians are grossly underprepared when it comes to funding their retirement! This inspired me to set up Ortium Financial Services Pvt Ltd in 2018, a firm dedicated towards the subject of retirement finances. Retirement is a complex subject and managing money is a big challenge. When you start thinking about it, the first question that comes to your mind is what is the investment corpus that is required to lead a comfortable retired life. This is just the beginning. Soon you move onto the other challenges like how do you generate regular income to meet your expenses, dealing with inflation, tax changes, market volatility, meeting expenses related to medical emergencies and many more! At Ortium, we help corporate executives build their investment corpus for retirement and then re-position their investments in sync with their retirement needs through an appropriate portfolio of mutual fund investments.
