Head of a station with a fire crew and 2 EMS crews. Responsible for all business Inspections/Inservices in response area. I have been acting in place of a captain(over two stations). I have all the responsibilities and authority as a captain but not officially until budget is approved. Plus all Fire/EMS training for the crews and myself. I teach my crews from public safety, hazmat, fire, rescue, and ems. We do our own inspections on industrial and local business. We do public education teaching schools and other facilities. Also do smoke detectors and fire alarm education. Has done construction by code entire life and run my own construction business on my days off. 18 years and counting. Left construction business and now currently doing code enforcement for the state of Kentucky.
