About Spencer Becker
I recently graduated with a joint degree in Data Science from TU/e & Tilburg university. In this program I learned to investigate patterns and anomalies hidden within data. Furthermore, there were many projects to create predictive models for real world problems. These modelling projects alongside a course on unsupervised learning methods helped me discover a passion for machine learning. This led me to focusing my education on algorithms, modelling, and deep learning methods, ultimately culminating in a final bachelor's project combining natural language processing and machine learning classification. In this project I explored the interaction effects between various text representations, learning models, and ensembling methods - as well as a new technique I created that resulted in better classification performance. Outside of work/school, I absolutely love Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I've been training for around 6 months and thus far have competed in five tournaments and achieved 11 wins.
