About Spencer Dodder

I am a graduate of Electrical Engineering at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology in Indianapolis and Chemistry at Butler University. My education has given me a deep love for solving intricate problems of selective scope. As an Electrical Engineer, I would love to work in an area of development where learning and problem-solving are emphasized. In such an environment, I offer experience in research methodologies and a genuine enthusiasm for discovery. For three years I conducted research quantifying physical-chemical phenomena which culminated in a publication in Chirality, a peer-reviewed chemistry journal, and a presentation of findings at the ACS National Convention in Washington, D.C. After my research ended, I interned at Duke Energy where I reshaped electric distribution circuit designs to fortify the Indiana power grid. I also automated a data collection process using Visual Basic for Applications saving 120 manhours yearly. Additionally, I was averaging 19 credit hours per semester, maintaining a 3.3 grade point average and enrolled in at least one graduate level class per semester, for my last year. This allowed me to complete two majors and two minors in five years, including a one semester gap for my internship.
