About Spencer Halliday

A student alumni of Mohawk college, a broadcasting technician with experience in mobile production. I trained in many scenarios, including studio, on location, and mobile areas. I have been a producer for Mohawk’s Varsity Volleyball mobiles, and have even assisted with producing for the Canadian Interuniversity Sport’s 2016 volleyball tournament at McMaster University. I enjoy attending events such as William F. White open house, Profusion, and the Action conference as I feel it helps build upon my experiences. My favourite technical roles were technical director, handheld camera operator, and lighting director. I have interned at Cable 14, Hamilton Ontario's local access station which is currently co-owned by Rogers and Cogeco. I assisted with many mobile and studio productions and am comfortable with every position. Out of school, I worked at CHCH News as a Production Assistant, rolling prompter, acting as the Associate Director during live news production which included counting segments and keys, rolling teleprompter, and managing breaks and the lineup. Eventually working my way up as a Director, leading the technical aspect of the newscasts.
