In this role, Spencer represents UAB in labor and employment matters, including: • Employment litigation in federal and state court, including employment discrimination (race, gender, sexual harassment, religion, age, disability, retaliation etc.), wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, Title IX complaints, etc. • Administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor. • Development of workplace policies and procedures. • Internal employment-related investigations. Spencer is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Alabama, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.
