About Spencer MacRae

I am passionate about the ocean and enjoy what I do. I have worked in the maritime industry for over 25 years. My credentials as a Merchant Mariner and certified instructor make me uniquely qualified for my position as a yacht salesperson. When I am not selling yachts I am busy running my charter business aboard our 1976 Fuji 35’ “Kelpie” where I create lifelong memories for hundreds of passengers each year. My work ethic is strong and I am dedicated to the job at hand. Patience is a part of my nature and teaching comes organically to me. My students sail away with confidence. I have over 25 years sailing experience, 14+ years experience as a professional certified sailing instructor, 13+ years as a licensed USCG 100 ton master, STCW 95 certified, Adult/Pediatric CPR / AED / First Aid / Life Saving certifications and hold a valid TWIC. Locally I exude extensive cruising knowledge of Channel Islands National Park & Marine Sanctuary and the local waters off southern and central California. I have delivered yachts trans pacific and am comfortable with blue water cruising. I enjoy travel and am always open to new opportunities. I look forward to teaching or captaining for you!
