About Spencer Malone

I have over two years of experience with IT maintenance work in a veterinary hospital setting, with troubleshooting professional health programs, imaging all matter of desktops from student to administrative faculty, physical hardware inspection / replacement, and working with clients to find solutions for their technical problems. Now, I have been working as a SSA for the TekStream / LONI SOC located on LSU's main campus for just under a year. My current work revolves around SPLUNK event investigation from many Louisiana organizations, dealing with a wide rage of different notable types and severity levels. I have a rudementary knowlege of dashbard creation and creating my own SPLUNK searches, and I intend to pursue a deeper understanding of such as a continue my employment with this organizaiton. One of my biggest accomplishments is becoming an Eagle Scout during the coronavirus pandemic, in which I built small community driven library sharing structrues in St. Francisville. My experience with the scout program taught me a lot of important life skills, along with strong goal focused mindset. Outisde of my professional life, I take part in a lot of outside activities. In my free time I enjoy rock climbing (both indoor and outdoor), baking fresh bread and pastries, collecting / researching exotic animal species, and recently an apprenticeship in falconry.
