About Spring Cooke

I develop science content for Cognia. Previous About: I was an urban professional development provider and teacher educator with expertise in improving student outcomes in math. I am passionate about ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn math and science well. To that end, I believe that teacher educators play a critical role in preparing and supporting teachers in their efforts to help children become innovative, real-world problem solvers. Children need to be more than college and career ready; they need to be innovation ready. In order to feel empowered to help children become innovators, teachers themselves need strengths-based support. I have seen this approach result in a consistent pattern of increased student test scores and higher community self-efficacy. Positive relationships, appropriate integration of emerging technologies, and high-quality instruction are critical to my approach to teaching, preparing teachers and supporting teachers. I am interested in opportunities to partner with states, districts, schools, teachers and communities in their efforts to prepare children for college, career and innovation.
