Accomplished across team management and meeting organizational goals to deliver groundbreaking new drugs for various treatments. Key Achievements Include: • Secured over $5.3 million in non-dilutive funding through multiple NIH SBIR and MJFF research grants to develop small molecule drug candidates in areas of neurological disorders and protein aggregation diseases. • Founded Plex Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(Formerly CalAsia Pharmaceuticals), acquired by Collidion, Inc. in 2017 • Key member and X-ray crystallography leader of Syrrx’s Nesina® drug discovery team, a DPP4 inhibitor for treatment of T2D, acquired for $270 million by Takeda. • Member and Structural Biology leader of the MK-4965 clinical candidate discovery team, a second generation NNRTI inhibitor for the treatment of AIDS. • Developed small molecule drug candidates for non-surgical treatment of cataract, IND enabling studies in progress, and for management of myopia, currently in preclinical development. • Developed novel safe and cost-effective patent pending antimicrobial products to address bacterial infections, eradication of viruses, and fungi. • Partnered antimicrobial products developed with SpectrumX, UK and submitted 510K application to FDA to seek approval for novel antimicrobials. • Served as Principal Investigator for NIH/NIAID Phase I SBIR grant at NIH/NEI SBIR Phase II grant at $1,311,882, and NIH/NEI SBIR Phase I grant at $298,950.
