Striving to create a better world, one small incremental step at a time is the life motto that Srikanth lives by. This flows into his professional life too where he is constantly on the look out for opportunities that usher in positive changes and developments in the brave new world. Energy as we know it is the fuel for growth, be it personal growth of an individual or the economic growth of a nation. Srikanth was associated with the Indian energy giant, Reliance Industries ltd, the owner of the largest greenfield refinery in the world, the Jamnagar Refinery. During his tenure as a Senior Manager in the Control systems department, he worked with state of the art control systems like Schneider electric DCS, Honeywell Fire & gas systems, GE Bentley Nevada Machine conditioning monitoring systems, Johnson Controls’s building management systems, Rockwell PLCs, ABB, Siemens & Sick Maihak Analyzer systems and process Instruments by the top Instrument manufactures of the world of the likes of Emerson and E&H. From preparing specifications, evaluating technical bids, providing commission support to project coordination,both internal and external, he was involved throughout the life of Control system engineering for refineries, petrochemical plants and data centers. On his quest for new knowledge on sustainable engineering developments, he pursued his masters in engineering leadership in Clean Energy from UBC. Here he gained understanding of clean technologies that covered energy generation, storage, efficiency and policy drafting. He was also successful in demonstrating his analytical competencies through research projects that involved Carbon capture, LCA studies, policy formulation for sustainable transport and the Capstone project on Hydrogen Economy in Canada. The program also helped sharpen his business acumen through the Sauder Business school courses in data analytics, organizational leadership, strategy & innovation, global environmental politics, sustainability & leadership, and creative destruction lab. His master’s program helped him make the switch to the clean side and currently he works as a Supervisor for the solutions team with Generac Industrial Power mainly working on implementing IoT solutions. His extensive experience in the energy sector coupled with his knowledge in clean energy engineering and sustainable business practices makes him the right candidate to provide sustainable engineering solutions that are instrumental in creating a better world, one small incremental step at a time.
