About Sritama Bose
A peptide chemist by training, I possess 6+ years of research experience in both manual and automated solid phase peptide syntheses and proficient in handling peptide synthesizers, HPLC/UPLC and LC-MS. My doctoral research involves syntheses, purification and characterization of long amyloidogenic peptides, notably difficult sequences, using automated microwave peptide synthesizer and developing efficient methodologies for the same. Additionally, I have synthesized peptides with multiple disulfide bonds and unnatural amino acids. Developed and extensively used in-vitro enzyme and peptide assays using spectroscopic tools like UV-Vis, fluorescence, circular dichroism etc. Having singlehandedly managed the peptide synthesis unit of our lab since and during its establishment, I am adept in setting up a new research facility. Being part of a big interdisciplinary lab, I enjoy the benefits of teamwork thoroughly and earnestly believe in cross-discipline collaborations to achieve scientific and technological breakthroughs.
