Biography: Dr. Srivaths Ravi is the R&D Director (Hardware and Software) for the Radar Business Unit, with additional responsibility for Hardware R&D of Connectivity Business unit at Texas Instruments. He has managed R&D teams across global sites in his silicon development roles at TI, starting at TI's microcontrollers and now Connectivity and Radar business units. Prior to joining TI, Dr. Ravi was a researcher with NEC Laboratories America (Princeton) where he worked in the areas of low power EDA and embedded security. He received the NEC Laboratories Technology Commercialization Award for his work on hardware security for NEC's mobile phone chips. He also held a visiting research collaborator position at Princeton University. Dr. Ravi received the B. Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the Siemens Medal from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ. He is an Senior Member, TI's Senior Member of Technical Staff (emeritus), and has over hundred conference/journal contributions with 7 best paper awards and 13 granted patents. He has led the organizing and program committees of various leading conferences.
