About Stacee Gordon

I possess a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University Northridge and a M.S. in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern California. In addition to my educational qualifications, I have 30 years experience working with youth of all ages and demographics. I began my career as a teacher in 2004, teaching 9th grade ELA. I looped with my students all 4 years of their high school career. When they graduated, I decided to utilize my counseling degree and transitioned to a position as a College and Career Counselor. From there, I moved up the career ladder and assumed a position as a Dean of Students. I realized that the higher up I went on the career ladder, the further removed I was from the constituents I sought to serve. I truly missed being in the classroom and working directly with students. When I moved to Florida to get married and start a family, I decided to return to the classroom. was hired as an ELA teacher at the first school I interviewed. I remained there for 6 years before accepting a position as a School Counselor at a school much closer to home. I work with a group of dedicated teachers, counselors and administrators to educate students and provide support in their personal, social, and academic growth. I have participated in several research-based professional development seminars, taught by experts in AVID, Kagan, Springboard, HCC, SUS, HCPs, and College Board communities. As a passionate educator, my mission is to cultivate intrinsically motivated, life-long critical thinkers and productive members of society.
