About Stacey Bates

My name is Stacey and I currently work at the Claremont Club & Spa in Berkeley, CA as a coordinator for the In-Room Dining department. My duties prioritize direct communication with our guests to ensure meal orders and other special amenities are made, delivered, and presented to each client’s liking. I began working in hospitality while residing downtown San Francisco in 2022-2023, working various hybrid positions pertaining to food & beverage at two Hyatt city locations. I enjoyed all these positions, however the pattern of food & beverage on my resume by no means limits the people skills I have acquired over the years to that single industry. After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish from Chapman University in 2020, my bilingualism opened the door to interview for the position of Spanish teacher at Livermore Valley Academy. In a last minute change of staff, I was instead offered a position teaching a class of Pre-K students, as well as assisting the Kindergarten teacher with her class, and filling in when needed for K-8 Spanish lessons. Despite its challenges, working with young children has brought me the most joy and taught me the most patience in my professional life. I am seeking a position in the East Bay Area that will be a good fit for my specialties, and appreciate my demeanor/people skills. Specifically, I’m seeking a position with days and hours relative to a standard workweek. Although I enjoy hospitality, the reason for my job search is due to the sporadic days and hours inherent to an establishment that operates 24/7 year round.
