My role involves designing educational interventions, bridging gaps by connecting needs to resources, teaching, and helping students to support and empower one another. My passion for this work stems from a belief that well-crafted academic support programs are vital to the educational experience and can serve as powerful instruments of equity and agents of change-Over 15 years of experience in academic support, post-secondary teaching, and learning center administration -Learning Center Leadership Certification Level 4 (lifetime) from the International College Learning Center Association -The Learning Centers grew by over 180% and earned the ICLCA Learning Centers of Excellence Designation, the Frank L. Christ Outstanding Learning Center Award, the ACTP Academic Coaching Program of Excellence Award, and the ICLCA Innovative Use of Technology Award under my leadership -Oversee the operation of four learning centers and a full suite of online services, manage a team of 19 full-time professional staff, and supervise programs that employ over 500 part-time and student workers -Serve on the editorial board of The Learning Assistance Review, on the NCLCA Professional Development Committee, and served as an NCLCA Institute mentor -Chaired and Co-chaired the campus-wide Student Success Steering Committee, New Student Transitions Committee, division-wide Undergraduate Edu Assessment Committee, and co-lead the Active Learning Community -Conduct educational research focused on academic support and student learning -Taught various courses in writing and pedagogy -Collaborate extensively with faculty, staff, and students on innovative initiatives and research to enhance student experiences and promote their academic success
