About Stacey Boden

Stacey (she/her) is an information technology specialist who is dedicated to increasing access to information for everyone through non-profit public service. I am currently the Chief Executive Officer (Chief Librarian) of the Rossland Public Library Association, where I'm responsible for oversight of a public library serving a rapidly growing population of just under My major focus is on policy innovation, increasing funding through grant opportunities and reporting, improving financial transparency and stake-holder relationships, engaging in evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive collection management services, and providing the greatest medium sized library reference services and reader's advisory in our region. Other things I’m up to right now: Assisting in the implementation, bookkeeping and vendor management of Pride Trail, B.C. as the Vice-Chair since 2018. Our organization began with a rainbow sidewalk and this year (2024) will see the first ever Trail, B.C. Pride Parade thanks to securing sponsorships, improving government and community relationships, and creating an airtight policy and bylaws manual with clearly identified mandates. Serving as a member of the Overdrive Selections Committee, responsible for the digital purchasing and management of British Columbia e-book and e-audiobook holds. Sitting as Vice-Chair of the Glenmerry Parent Advisory Council, working closely with the Vice-Principal and PAC to secure grant funding, participating in fundraising, analyzing policy and bylaws while refreshing as needed, and working to build connections with school staff, parents and students. In my early years I volunteered at many non-profits including Queer on Campus at Simon Fraser University and the Downtown Eastside Women's Shelter, as well as Women Against Violence Against Women. I am a passionate advocate for equity and equality, spending both my professional and personal life championing for vulnerable populations and the under-privileged. I feel that my skills and experience would be an incredible asset to a remote non-profit looking for grant opportunities, clear and concise reporting modules, administrative services, policy analysis and evidence-based research.
