About Stacey Cook

I entered public service working as an emergency dispatcher at the same time, I was completing courses to become an EMT and studying to receive my associate degree. In addition to dispatching, I volunteered part-time for two years as an EMT, before moving to Cheyenne to work as a full-time EMT. During my first year working in Cheyenne, I was named an employee of the year, for impeccable work ethic and dedication to doing what is best for the patients. I furthered my medical career in the Emergency Department at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center working as in EMT and ER Tech and have cared for hundreds of patients with everything from colds and flu, to severe trauma patients. I took over Occupational Medicine at Stitches Acute Care before becoming the Practice Administrator a few months later. Being in charge of occupational medicine gave me a great background in workplace injury prevention programs, OSHA rules and regulations in regards workplace injuries, am a certified DOT Drug and Alcohol collector and Medical Examiner Administrative Assistant and I also have an in-depth knowledge of NFPA standards for firefighters. I took over as Practice Administrator for Stitches Acute Care in Laramie in 2016 and took over the second clinic in Cheyenne in 2017 and have been running both for two years. Working at Stitches has helped me to become a strong leader and I am so grateful to be able to work with such a great team. In 2017, I was honored to receive the Wyoming Business Report Wyoming Woman of Influence award in Healthcare and last month I found out, that I will also be named one of Laramie’s 20 under 40. I am so honored to receive this recognition given by the Laramie Young Professionals and the Laramie Boomerang, to highlight young individuals in our community who are “dedicated to philanthropy, volunteering, stewardship and improving Laramie.”
