About Stacey Houk

I have been employed in non-profit veterinary based administration for the past 20 years with an emphasis in spay and neuter. This has given me the ability to expand my skills and see the ever-changing landscape which is veterinary medicine. HOPE opened in 2006 and I have had the privilege of being the Executive Director since its opening. We have sterilized cats and dogs to date in 2021. We expanded our services because we noticed there was a gap in accessibility to veterinary care and started providing wellness services. This program has become hugely successful since 2019. We have served over clients and their pets. I have made meaningful connections and collaborations with such organizations as Best Friends Animals Society, PetSmart Charities, Petco Foundation, Humane Alliance and ASPCA. Through these collaborations and grant writing, I along with my team have secured over to provide subsidized services to pets in need of spay/neuter and/or medical care. I strive daily to create an environment that is conducive to teamwork and learning. Where people feel respected and able to do their job and feel needed. I am truly lucky to have had found a job that is emotionally and socially rewarding, I hope that my employees feel the same way. Working with the under-served is something that can be challenging and at times very frustrating. By proving these needed services, you are changing the lives of not only the companion animals that you are helping but also the owner that loves them. That is why I feel so passionately about our tag line “Every Pet Deserves a Vet”.
