About Stacey Welfel

After practicing as a physical therapist in Texas for 19 years, I made the decision to head to Colorado in 2023, answering the call of the mountains that have drawn me for the past two decades. As I settle into a new city, culture, and climate, I’m embracing the opportunity to explore new hobbies and build both a personal and professional network in this amazing place. Along the way, I’m immersing myself in the world of outpatient private practice, learning everything I can to thrive in this new chapter of my career, while also empowering and mentoring my team as we grow together. I earned my Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2004 and hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin, where I’m proud to be an alumnus. A significant portion of my career was spent at the top-ranked TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital, where I was part of the brain injury team. Over the years, I've had the privilege of treating patients across the neuro-rehabilitation spectrum, including inpatient and outpatient rehab, home health, and community reintegration. These professional experiences, combined with my personal journey supporting my daughter through neurological challenges, have given me a deep empathy and understanding of the struggles faced by individuals with neurological conditions, shaping my approach to treatment. I'm a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and Certified Fall Prevention Specialist, and I’m passionate about helping clients with life-altering neurological injuries live their best possible life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our two daughters. I also volunteer as a leader for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop, where I get to inspire the next generation of leaders and share my love of the outdoors. I love kayaking, camping, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer. My husband and I are proud to own and operate Dynamic Physical Therapy.
