About Stacey Wolf

As the Group Senior Vice President and Head of Business Affairs and Negotiations for CNN Worldwide, I lead negotiations of all development, production, license, and distribution deals for CNN's long form programming, focused primarily on the CNN Original Series and CNN Films brands. I negotiate the intracompany content deals between CNN and our WBD sister networks, including the deal that brings CNN's amazing library of content to MAX. I am also responsible for the CNN Collection team that is charged with generating revenue by licensing CNN’s vast archive to production companies and other licensees. I have recently expanded my areas of expertise by negotiating deals involving AI training for large language models. I have successfully structured, negotiated, and closed complex and high-profile deals for award-winning and critically acclaimed projects, such as "Searching for Italy with Stanley Tucci", “Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain”,"Navalny","RBG", and "Three Identical Strangers". In this ever changing industry, I negotiate deals of first impression with brands, financiers and other creative sourcing of funding. I have over 25 years of experience in the media industry, with a strong background in first amendment, copyright and entertainment law. I am a skilled negotiator and dealmaker, with strategic vision, analytical skills, financial acumen, and industry knowledge. I enjoy collaborating and communicating with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally, to achieve the best outcomes for the company and the audience. I am passionate about helping colleagues create and distribute compelling and impactful content and products across multiple platforms and markets. I have experience creating strategy and building budgets for CNN's long form content business and am well versed in issues around creating and programming for a variety of platforms including linear, SVOD and FAST. Earlier in my career, I was a content lawyer advising CNN journalists on news gathering, publication and copyright issues - areas of expertise that I use daily to better negotiate risk terms in technology and content deals.
