About Stacy Archer

Stacy is an Advocacy and Education Specialist at CASA of Forsyth County, where she supervises volunteers as they serve children and families who have been abused or neglected and who are in the foster care system. Children in foster care often experience multiple school placements, resulting in 4-6 month academic loss per move. With her teaching background, Stacy provides advocacy and educational training to volunteers so that they can be the voice for the best interest of the child or children they serve. Stacy is a former public school teacher, where she learned to implement teaching strategies that encompass multiple learning styles. She is a strong believer that a child cannot be taught anything until the child feels safe, motivated, and supported, which is why she has devoted time to many programs that encourage personal success, such as Project Success Language Arts Coordinator (Hall County), Peer Mediation Program, Founder and Supervisor (Fulton County), and SACS Committee for Student Activities (Fulton County). Stacy served as a Coach for Girls on the Run (Forsyth, Hall, Cherokee Counties) for 5 years, with two seasons taking place per year. Stacy earned her Bachelors Degree in English Education from the University of Georgia and Masters Degree in English Education from Georgia State University.
