About Stacy Bender

Stacy Bender is a School Advocate for Northwest Service Cooperative. In her role, she assists area schools with school improvement efforts. Stacy also serves as a Social and Emotional Learning Specialist with Peacemaker Resources. She has spent 28 years in the field of education, providing professional development in the areas of resiliency, positive psychology, restorative practices, and mindfulness. Stacy is a certified ACE Interface Trainer, a graduate of the Mindful Schools Teacher Certification Program, a YogaCalm certified youth instructor, and a past LINK for Equity Cultural Humility facilitator. Stacy has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and has taught in Grand Forks, Cass Lake, and Bemidji. Stacy believes that the strongest educational models foster both academic success and compassionate character development. She is an advocate for healthy workplace environments that foster a sense of belonging and connection for all. Stacy is also a 3 Sisters Retreats team member Offered on beautiful Crane Lake, MN, women attend retreats to focus on three aspects of well-being: emotional, physical, and social. Stacy serves as a mindfulness practitioner and social & emotional workshop facilitator.
