About Stacy Endres-Dighe

I am a research epidemiologist with experience managing domestic and international epidemiologic studies on HIV, antimicrobial resistance, the safety of the blood supply, and other public health issues. My background is in environmental science and infectious disease epidemiology. I possess over a decade of wide-ranging experience in Africa, Asia and South America. I have provided technical and substantive support for multiple African and Asian-based projects including HIV/STI seroprevalence and behavioral surveillance programs, formative assessments, feasibility studies of surveillance systems, and risk reduction and program evaluations. International experience - Including work in Benin, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Laos, Peru, and South Sudan. Research interests - I aim to understand how the environment (e.g, endemic disease, social norms, demographic factors, cultural and institutional structures) influences health and disease. Professional goals - Work locally and internationally to improve the health of the world’s most vulnerable populations. Reduce harmful environmental exposure and the incidence of chronic, infectious and emerging diseases.
