Registered Nurse, I started out working as a CNA at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Waconia, Minnesota. I did that for four years while attending college. Then, I worked at Good Samaritan as a Graduate RN until completion of my Boards and continued on working as an RN at the Nursing Home for another year taking care of managing 40+ patients and overseeing either a TMA or LPN and five to six CNA's. After leaving Good Samaritan Nursing home, I took a 0.9 position as a Staff RN on the Medical Surgical Floor and soon after became a Permanent Charge RN overseeing the unit and making assignments for oncoming staff. I then took a position as a Critical Care Float RN where I would work in the CICU, the ICU and the Heart Center. Following that with 3+ years of being strictly an ICU RN. I am now undertaking a new position as a Surgical Specialties RN where there is implementation of a step down unit for more critically ill patients. My career has given me several opportunities and I have a long line of experience that has taught me to always treat my patients and their families with dignity, and respect. Also showing them they can trust in me and I work with care and concern, and act with urgency when needed. My goals as an RN are to be there first and foremost for my patients and corroborate care with the medical team and family to achieve the very best outcomes for the patient and their quality of life. To work with a compassionate heart and a caring, positive attitude everyday, every shift, every patient.
