About Stacy Huggins Geist

With a career rooted in nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and community engagement, I bring over a decade of experience in strategic development, communications, and mission-driven collaboration. I’ve had the privilege of serving in both executive and board-level roles, leading teams, managing fundraising initiatives, and building bridges between organizations and the communities they serve. Currently, I serve as Social Media Coordinator for the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra and sit on the boards of the Community Counseling Center and First Presbyterian Preschool and Kindergarten. My past roles include Manager of Philanthropy at WARM and Associate Development Director at Good Shepherd Center—both focused on advancing housing and human services in North Carolina. Earlier in my career, I served as Executive Director of Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, SC, where I combined operational oversight with creative leadership. I’ve also held roles such as Editor and Partner at Art Mag, co-founder of Charleston Supported Art, and VP of the Redux Board of Trustees. My work has consistently intersected with marketing, donor engagement, and program development—with a focus on storytelling and sustainable impact. As a former board member and Communications Chair for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Cape Fear Chapter), I remain passionate about ethical fundraising, cross-sector collaboration, and creating systems that support both mission and growth. Whether developing content, cultivating donor relationships, or leading strategy from the inside out, I thrive in roles where purpose meets execution.
