My mission: to translate patient stories into industry solutions. Two devastating diagnoses critically shaped my lens as a 25+ year healthcare/pharma executive. As caregiver for my son with a nano rare diagnosis and as a survivor of stage IV colorectal cancer, I became an advocate to close communication gaps and identify what I could glean from these challenges to improve the patient experience and our system as a whole. I combine my education, professional skills, and lived patient/caregiver journey to help bring diverse, authentic patient voices into pharma/biotech drug development. Patients should be viewed as an equitable stakeholder group in healthcare. I make the business case for including a patient SME perspective with industry/clinicians and their end users: patients and caregivers.
