About Stacy Kamau

I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Merced, with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Developmental Biology and Cognitive Science. I am interested in pursuing careers in Physician Associate studies or User Research, where I can combine scientific insight with human-centered approaches. I bring experience as a research assistant studying cognition and AI bias, where I developed skills in study design, data analysis, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. In addition, I am a Certified Nursing Assistant with hands-on clinical experience, which has strengthened my empathy, adaptability, and ability to understand user needs. Outside of academics, I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures. From studying abroad to traveling, these experiences have shaped my adaptability and curiosity, qualities I bring into both research and care. I am excited to continue developing my skills as I explore opportunities in both healthcare and user research. Whether pursuing Physician Assistant studies or UX research, I aim to apply my background in science and human-centered work to make a meaningful impact.
