I am ethical, honest and approachable. I strive to set an example for others within my organization, and take pride in guiding others in acting ethically as well. I believe superiors, peers and subordinates respond positively to and respect someone that they believe will give them an honest, although sometimes difficult to hear, answer. I have also found that people are more likely to be open and honest when they know that you are approachable as a leader.I believe that listening and empathy are key traits of a good leader. Listening to others can help a leader formulate a solution to a problem. Learning is continuous and you must listen to learn. Empathy is important because it takes all employees in an organization to function. Empathy can lead to problem solving by drawing upon the experience and ideas of others within the organization.I am reliable and take the initiative to get job done. I thrive on the variety and daily challenges that being a finance and accounting leader brings. I approach problems calmly and systematically. I take pride in finding solutions to complex financial and organizational issues. I draw on past experience, current circumstances and future vision for problem solving.I believe that my greatest value professionally is one of a strategic partner, advising and guiding others in the organization to achieve goals. I acknowledge and appreciate the accomplishments that all employees make in an organization.
