About Stacy Ross

I am a graduate mechanical engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I have completed my B.S. of Mechanical Engineering with highest honors as of May 2024. I am in the BSMS program right now, with an expected M.S. graduation in Spring 2025. I have experience in spacecraft design, and testing. I am looking forward to an enriching career with plenty of team-work, hands-on problem solving and unique challenges. On campus, I am involved with the Georgia Tech Motorsports team. I am an active member of the aerodynamics subteam, where I have gained a broad range of manufacturing, design, and leadership experience. I am also a member of the GT Astronomy club. As a member, I participate in outreach events and attend weekly observatory meetings. Additionally, I am involved in research concerning novel stereolithography printing methods. Last summer I interned with Maxar technologies. During my structures design engineering internship, I aided in the design, testing, and manufacturing of various spacecrafts including the Power and Propulsion Element of NASA's Artemis program. In the summer of 2021, I interned at TruSpin Nanofiber Technology where I was responsible for the design and manufacturing of a 3-axis gantry nanofiber collection system, chemical inventory, and commercial nanofiber production. Before college, I conducted materials research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, exploring nanofiber mechanical properties.
