About Stacy Strakowski

Stacy Strakowski has been teaching Voice for more than two decades. Her degrees in Music, BM and MM are from Belmont University, New England Conservatory, and the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. She teaches Voice and performs professionally across a wide genre of musical styles including Classical and Contemporary Commercial Music. Additional studies in German Lied with Elly Ameling and Brian Zeger (Juilliard). Stacy also has secured Certification in Contemporary Commercial Music, Teaching Men to Sing, conducting and state licensure. Stacy owned a large, competitive private studio for 17 years. She currently serves as Lecturer in Voice, Department of Theatre and Dance, at the University of Texas, Austin teaching MT Voice lessons via balanced functional cross training, builds Audition Books, supports students in NYC Showcases networking with agents and industry professionals. She presents interactive lectures on Vocal Health/Technique, Belting, Classical and Contemporary Vocal Pedagogy along with Master Classes working with High School, Undergraduate and Graduate students as well as Faculty. Stacy has professional affiliations with organizations such as Three Arts Society (Vice President) and is a sought after adjudicator (both Classical and MT) in Ohio and Texas NATS Chapters, DFW (finals, classical) and South Central Chapters. Her students have gone on to win competitions at both Regional and National Levels, and work professionally as Recording Artists, Actors, Performers/Coaches/Conductors, Young Artists in both Classical and Commercial settings, teachers in Elementary through Collegiate systems, Music Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, training programs such as AIMS at Graz and the MFA Program at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama at the University of London. She continues her investigation of Voice Science as it relates to teaching and the cross trained voice.
