About Stan Kummer

Stan Kummer runs a handyman and contracting business in Cincinnati as well as a property management business (with wife Janice) after retiring from a corporate career in a technology field. Registered as a general contractor in the City of Cincinnati, Stan recently completed his latest project in August, 2021, a single-family home overlooking downtown and the Ohio River. The project achieved Platinum status under the US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy-efficient Environmental Design (LEED) program, the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. This is the second project collaboration between Stan and his architect son, Quinn Kummer. The most recent project received a Cincinnati Design Award in the Fall of 2021. For the past several years, Stan has used his knowledge of green building practices to teach a continuing education course for the region's largest realty company. An update on the project completed in late 2021: The “Hill House” was also granted a prestigious Cincinnati Design Award by a jury of international architects and designers. Both continue to keep some musical activity in their lives by singing with church choirs and the Cincinnati Camerata.
