About Stan Kurjata
I started out running heavy equipment on my fathers farm including Bulldozer, Loader, Bobcat, Tractor and various other farm machinery. After graduation I spent another year upgrading before going to college at G.P.R.C. where I took Power Engineering and Gas Processing. I worked construction for awhile until I was offered a job at the Louisiana Pacific Pulp Mill. While there I finished my third class ticket and progressed to the Shift Engineer. When the pulp mill shut down I worked temporarily for Duke energy until the pulp mill opened up again. After commisioning the plant for startup and re-tuning the DCS I went to work for SemCAMS at their gas plant in Fox Creek. After a few years there and completing my second class ticket I returned to Chetwynd and went to work for Spectra Energy at their gas plant as an Assistant Shift Engineer and later a Shift Engineer. I have spent 9 years in the pulp and paper industry and 10 years in the oil and gas industry. Currently I am a Operations Supervisor at Enbridge.
