About Stan Leong

I am a leader and CEO with 28 years experience in multiple facets of North American energy services markets, most recently growing a family owned, chemical business into a multi-national, private company with offices in Alberta, Texas and Oklahoma. In alliance with the Board of Directors, I grew revenue 600% in 11 years by cultivating an organization grounded in Mission, Culture, People, Risk and Strategy. Recognized as a collaborative leader with a proactive approach and keen ability to effectively translate complex operational concepts into tangible action plans. A strong executive presence who is capable of blending big-picture viewpoints with tactical considerations to inspire, build trust, and achieve record growth. My leadership style is collaborative and I believe that well organized, lean teams with clear mandates deliver positive results. This needs to be balanced to allow for flexibility and adaptability of the team, one of the benefits of a high-performance organization. For collaborative change to occur, I coach my senior managers and their direct reports, as requested, to provide a clear understanding of why process changes are needed and how it supports the overall corporate strategies. Open communication is critical in a strong culture so it is important to understand where staff and managers are stuck or conflicted and provide resources or clarity to keep the changed process moving. I am also a problem solver. I work best when information can be analyzed and decision options created. With limited data, I will research and connect with subject matter experts to gain a better understanding of the problem before working consultatively with stakeholders to make decisions. As a leader for a high-performance organization, I understood the importance of "Go". I act on decisions or delegated to other individuals or teams to implement and refine as needed. Additionally, I understand the importance of creating clearly defined processes based on decisions made. Well defined processes are the difference between a scalable business and one that is not.
